Andrew Bado is an independent developer, tester and pixel artist. He was one of the pixel modelers for Shantae: Risky's Revenge and Shantae and the Pirate's Curse.

Studies

Andrew Bado studied between 2002 and 2004 at Brookdale Community College.[1]

Career

Although an independent developer,[2] Andrew Bado has always been fully employed beside his indie work, starting as a tester at Majesco between 2002 and 2005. In 2005, he was hired by Gameloft as a pixel artist and remained there until 2012,[1] but also contributed to some titles by WayForward Technologies in the meantime, including Shantae: Risky's Revenge and Shantae and the Pirate's Curse as a pixel modeler.[3] In 2012, he joined Dreamrift as a pixel artist.[1] In 2013, Bado managed to crowdfund his first independent game, The Legend of Iya, via Kickstarter, and founded Last Dimension Inc. in 2014.[3]

Influences

Andrew Bado claims the game that led him to work in the video game field was Wizard of Wor on an Atari 8-bit computer.[3]
