The Tinker Tank, aka the All-Purpose Steam-Powered Tinkerbot and also spelled Tinkertank, is a war machine created by Risky Boots and her Tinkerbats to rule the world, which Shantae must destroy at the end of the first game. Shantae must use her Harpy and Monkey forms to scale it and break the four Elemental Stones, then destroy the
in order to permanently defeat it. The Tinker Tank bears no weapons or defenses (though there are a pair of steam vents on the exterior that must be avoided), so destroying it is actually a very easy task.
Although destroyed, the Steam Engine technology lives on in Risky's main weapon from Shantae: Risky's Revenge, the Steam Powered Oceanic Tinker Tub.

- The Tinker Tank's theme music was originally longer, containing off-tempo interruptions and an additional stanza. The song was cut down to save space on the GameBoy Color cartridge.
- Interestingly, Jake Kaufman's title for the original song is "Tinkerbot", not "Tinker Tank".
